Object history
Deutsch: Das von Heinz Ritt entworfene und am 23. Januar 1973 vom Hessischen Minister des Innern genehmigte Wappen zeigt die romanischen Arkaden der Westempore der Stiftskirche Kaufungen Zum Heiligen Kreuz, die dort in die Kirche zieren und zentraler Teil des Wappens wurden. Die Farbe Grün bezieht sich auf die Ortslage mitten im Kaufunger Wald, die Farbe Blau auf die Lage an der Losse bzw. auf den blauen Himmel über der Gegend.
