Deutsch: Der Löwe weist auf die frühere Zugehörigkeit zur Wild- und Rheingrafschaft hin. Die Grafen besaßen in der wildreichen Gegend um Homberg ein Jagdhaus, worauf die Gestaltung des unteren Wappenteils hinweist.
