Object history
Deutsch: Die im volksetymologischen Sinne „redenden" Heuhaken waren im ältesten, in einem Abdruck von 1479 belegten Siegel noch ohne die württembergische Hirschstange zu sehen gewesen. Seit dem 16. Jahrhundert wurde auch die letztere - teils mit, teils ohne Schildhaupt - als Herrschaftszeichen im Stadtwappen abgebildet. Nachdem die Heuhaken zeitweilig auch silbern tingiert worden waren, setzten sich die jetzigen Wappenfarben, die auch die Flagge bestimmen, samt dem Schildhaupt endgültig durch.
