Deutsch: Der Gemeinde Henrichenburg wurde am 24. April 1937 durch den Oberpräsidenten der preußischen Provinz Westfalen ein Wappen verliehen. Das Wappen ist abgeleitet von dem der Herren von Düngelen, welche 1382 die Burg Henrichenburg von den Herren von Oer übernahmen. Die Boote (Schiffe auf Ober- und Unterwasser) symbolisieren das Schiffshebewerk am Dortmund-Ems-Kanal
English: The arms were granted on April 24, 1937. They are derived from the arms of the Lords of Düngelen, former owners of Henrichenburg castle (till 1382). The boats symbolise the Henrichenburg boat lift. |
