Object history Die Bischofsmitra weist auf den Kirchenpatron den Hl. Lambertus hin. Bis zum Jahre 1849 wurde der Hl. Maternus als Schutzpatron der Kapelle verehrt. Dieses Patrozinium weist auf das hohe Alter der Kapelle und die Beziehung zur Abtei Pantaleon, Köln hin. Das Schild mit Zielscheibe ist das Emblem der St. Sebastianus Schützenbruderschaft. Sie wurde 1892 gegründet und gehört zu den wichtigen Kulturträgern im Ort. Die Urne erinnert an vorgeschichtliche Grabhügel im Distrikt „Oberbüsch“ die im Jahre 1926 freigelegt wurden. Die Ähren erinnern an die Gründung des Ortes, der aus einem landwirtschaftlichen Gutshof entstand. Heute bildet die Landwirtschaft einen wesentlichen, aber nicht mehr entscheidenden Anteil an der Ernährung der Einwohner.
