Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Borntosten seit 1975 Stadtteil von Marsberg: „In Schwarz ein von der Mitte des unteren Schildrandes aufsteigender, in der Schildmitte nach beiden Seiten abfallender blauer Springbrunnen unter drei silbernen (weißen) Reihen das Schildhaupt ausfüllender Steine, deren unterste leicht gewölbt ist.“ Das Wappen symbolisiert den Namen des Ortes. Borntosten bedeutet soviel wie "Quelle von Ostheim". Die Farben Schwarz und Silber weisen auf die früheren Landesherren, die Kurfürsten von Köln hin.
English: „Sable, below a three-rowed wall Argent in the chief, the lowest curved, a fountain azure, deciduous to both sides out of the base.“ The arms are canting and symbolise the name of the village. "-born" means fountain in german. The colours Argent and sable are derived from the Electorate of Cologne
