Description
English: The upper half shows the lion of the Counts of Berg, who ruled the area after the former family, the Ezzonids. The lower half shows a cross, for the Beyenburg Abbey.
Deutsch: "Im silbernen (weißen) Feld über einem freischwebenden schwarzen Wechselzinnenbalken ein wachsender blaubewehrter roter (bergischer) zwiegeschwänzter gekrönter Löwe im Schildfuß ein rotes Tatzenkreuz.“
