Object history
Deutsch: Die drei silbernen Kugeln in Blau sind dem Wappen der Freiherren von Freyberg entnommen, von denen sich ein Zweig nach Achstetten nannte. Vom 14. bis in das 17. Jahrhundert hinein traten diese als Herren und Hauptbesitzer in den Ortsteilen Achstetten und Bronnen sowie als Patronatsherren der Kirche im Ortsteil Oberholzheim auf. Umfassenden Besitz und enge historische Beziehungen zu allen drei Ortsteilen hatte auch das Zisterzienserinnenkloster Gutenzell, aus dessen Wappen der „Zisterzienserbalken" in das Gemeindewappen gelangt ist. Das Innenministerium hat am 4. Mai 1960 das Wappen und die Flagge verliehen.
