Description Inedible mushrooms. Saprophytic fungi growing alone or in small groups with connected bubbles (as shown). Usually grows on oak, but occasionally can be found on another hard trees. Perennial. Copies Gloeophyllum's may look like, but they have brown meat and bottom of the mushroom is more like leaves. Daedaleopsis confragosa also looks like it is only its surface pores - mazes, less regular, has thinner walls, and usually red with disabilities. Lenzites betulina has a bottom surface more like leaves.
