Description
Deutsch: Lauterbach, Katholische Filialkirche St. Jakobus. Detail: Seitenaltar Nordseite. Er ist der Hl. Familie gewidmet, die im Altarblatt dargestellt wird: zwischen Maria und Josef kniet der kleine Jesus in betender Haltung.

Assistenzfigur links ist Johannes der Täufer, der in der rechten Hand einen Kreuzstab hält mit dem Spruchband (Attribut!) "ECCE AGNUS DEI". In der anderen Hand (in dieser Aufnahmerichtung unsichtbar) hält er ein Buch, auf dem ein Lamm liegt.

Assistenzfigur rechts ist dem Attribut nach (Kelch mit Gift, dargestellt als Schlange) Johannes der Evangelist, welcher der Legende nach so vergiftet werden sollte. Da er aber ohne Bart dargestellt ist, müsste es sich um den späteren Apostel Johannes, den Lieblingsjünger Christi, handeln (zu dem aber kein Vergiftungsversuch überliefert ist)
