Description

We happened upon this annual event quite by accident. It occurs sometime in June, at a previously unannounced location. Thousands of people on the exclusive guest list are told, via text message, at the last possible moment, the time and place of the event, so their arrival can be a surprise. They arrive, bringing their own tables, tablecloths, chairs, china, silver, glassware, food and wine, candles, etc., quickly set up, and have a formal dinner in the open air. This year's group tightly filled the entire plaza in front of Notre Dame.
