Description

El rector Vicente Guzmán Fluja ha presidido el acto conmemorativo del Día de la Sociología. El rector ha estado acompañado por Rosa María Díaz, decana de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales; Estrella Gualda, vicepresidenta de la Asociación Andaluza de Sociología; Clemente J. Navarro, director del Departamento de Sociología; y Víctor M. Muñoz, director académico del Grado en Sociología de la Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

Vicente Guzmán ha destacado la labor docente e investigadora de los profesores y profesoras de Sociología de la Universidad Pablo de Olavide “gracias a cuyo trabajo, los estudiantes de esta disciplina en la UPO pueden sentirse en buenas manos”. Igualmente, ha resaltado la importancia que tiene la Sociología en el análisis de los grandes retos a los que se enfrenta la sociedad en el siglo XXI, señalando que “la misión de la Universidad es ayudar para que estos cambios sean analizados y comprendidos”.
