English: Transcription of the dedication : Allow me to send you this Little / Souvenir of our / So dear Port Royal.
Description : Standing, full bust, three-quarters to the left, wearing a wide-brimmed black straw hat worn slightly back revealing a little of her white hair, Madame d'Aurelle de Paladines, with a gesture of the delicately open left hand, raised at chin height, seems to offer us at once « the ingenuous radiance of her sapphire eyes and the angelic sweetness of her smile » |
