The Supreme Court prepares to slice apart the knot of the Great Northern R.R. and Northern Pacific R.R. Merger, which has tied up the cart of Northwest Transportation. The caption reads "The Gordian Knot to Date." The anti-trust case involving the merger had just gone before the Supreme Court.
