Description |
Image published in 1883 by Currier & Ives. It shows a birds-eye view of the city of New York in that year, with an emphasis on the Equitable Life Building at no. 120 Broadway. Also prominently shown, oversized, is the Brooklyn Bridge, which was officially opened in 1883. The geographical dimensions are slightly distorted, which makes identification of some of the streets and landmarks difficult. |
