Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Curious gates. These gates are at the entrance to a council works yard (note the heap of salt/grit for winter). Each gate rotates on a shaft which extends through a hole in a metal plate to something below ground, suggesting that they could be remotely operated or at least that their movement could be remotely detected. What was here originally? They suggest level-crossing gates but the Dinas Mawddwy railway terminated a kilometre south of here.
