Description |
English: A gate blocks an arched opening through a berm, surrounded by a wall of square stone blocks. A railroad berm was built in 1892. The rail line that once ran up the Potomac River on the water's edge now crossed the southern end of the Armory Grounds on the berm. Other landscape features are associated with the berm, such as the large stone culvert that was built through the berm to allow water to pass through.
