Français : Cristatella Mucedo ou Cristatelle ; Image retravaillée (nettoyée) à partir d'une illustration ancienne présentée à l'Académie des sciences réalisée en 1837, à partir d'observations faites au microscope optique d'un statoblaste trouvé parmi les débris de végétaux apportés dans la Seine par le Canal de l'Ourcq, puis observé par le naturaliste et célèbre illustrateur Pierre Jean François Turpin.Ce dessin représente un polypier ( le premier stade d'une jeune colonie), observée par l'auteur après l'ouverture spontanée d'un statoblaste le 15 décembre 1837. Dans ce cas, le polypier n'a survécu que 3 jours. Cette illustration a été publiée dans les "Annales des sciences naturelles comprenant la zoologie, la botanique, l'anatomie, et la physiologie comparée des deux règnes, et l'histoire des corps organisés fossiles", seconde série, Tome VII, imprimé chez Paul Renouard, Paris, 417 pages |
