Summary
[edit]Photographie du Cratère de Derveni, utilisé comme urne funéraire dans le tombeau de Deverni, et ayant auparavant servi pour mélanger du vin et de l'eau.
La richesse de sa décoration est un hymne aux divinités Ariane et Dyonisos.
La dorure est obtenue à l'aide d'un alliage spécial, à base de bronze et d'étain, mais sans la moindre trace d'or. Le vase est composé de deux feuilles de métal qui ont été martelées, tandis que les anses et les volutes ont été fondues.
