עברית: עגורן הוא ציוד מכני הנדסי וסוג של מנוף המיועד להרמת גופים כבדים. מקור השם עגורן, בדומה לשמו בשפות אחרות, נגזר שמו מהעוף עגור שעמידתו על רגל אחת דומה למראה העגורן המגדלי. כך למשל באיטלקית (Gru) ובאנגלית (Crane). בישראל מכונים העגורנים בשם "מנופים" ומפעילם בשם "מנופאי", ועגורני הצריח שנפוצים באתרי בנייה מכונים "מנוף ענק". |
