Summary
[edit]DescriptionCraig y Dinas - geograph.org.uk - 737870.jpg |
English: Craig y Dinas Craig y Dinas (fortress hill) is the modern name for what the locals still call Stabla (a corrupt form of Stablau, meaning "stables"). It was here before the introduction of steam that the horses which pulled the waggons on this 4ft gauge line were housed. The street name plaque and wall are on the site of the track which was lifted in the early 1960s. |
