Description
English: Notices at the bus stop at the Red Jet terminal, Fountain Quay, Cowes Isle of Wight, commonly known as Cowes Pontoon. Usually, this bus stop is served by Southern Vectis route 1 up to every 6 minutes. However, during Cowes Week it isn't served. In previous years, buses did serve the stop before 10am, but in 2009 the whole service departed from the Co-op instead at all times of the day. Visible in the photo are a blackboard informing passengers about the changes, and a piece of paper inside the timetable case doing the same. Unfortunately, the piece of paper incorrectly showed that buses were serving the stop before 10am, which wasn't the case, and a huge rainstorm meant that by the Wednesday of Cowes Week the blackboard had been washed clean!
