Description

Léon Bakst 1866 - 1924 COSTUME DESIGN signed in Latin l.r. watercolour over pencil heightened with gold on paper laid on cardboard 47 by 32cm, 18 1/2 by 12 1/2 in.

The present lot may be a design for Le Dieu Bleu, first staged in Paris in 1912 at the Théâtre du Châtelet with both set and costume designs by Bakst.
