Description Sgt. 1st Class Thaddeus Pilewski (right) and Sgt. Leandro Rocha check the electrical requirements for an air conditioning unit at the Island Community Center Sep. 19. Teams of power experts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ 249th Engineer Bn., Ft. Belvoir, Va., are conducting power assessments prior to installing temporary emergency power at critical public facilities in areas of Galveston affected by Hurricane Ike.
