Description
English: Copper alloy Roman tutulus brooch dating to c. 2nd century AD. This is a circular plate brooch with a raised boss in the centre, inside is a second very small boss. The raised dish is surounded by two evenly spaced double concentric rings. On the outer edge are six small lugs, two of which hide both the pin housing and catch plate. The reverse of the brooch has a shallow concave depression on the back.The pin is missing.
