Title
Copper-alloy buckle frame, reverse
Description
English: Copper-alloy buckle frame. The buckle frame is broken, missing two of it's frame bars and its pin, but it would once have been sub-rectangular. What remains of the buckle is quite ornately decorated and the remaining horizontal frame bar tapers before becoming quite wide again in its centre. There are knops at either end of the vertical frame bar which are both decorated with two diagonal incised lines giving the appearance of v's on their side. The horizontal frame bar is decorated with incised floral design where it gets wider. The reverse of the buckle is flat and undecorated. What remains of the buckle is 27 mm long and 25 mm wide. The buckle is probably medieval or post-medieval in date.
