Description
Français : Copies du masque mortuaire de Blaise Pascal. D'après Albert Ojardias, c'est Augustin Gazier « qui, en 1880, au moment où l'on inaugurait, à Clermont-Ferrand, le Pascal de Paul Dubois, permit à M. Xavier Charmes, Auvergnat fidèle aux grandeurs de la race, d'en faire exécuter le moulage. Le premier exemplaire fut remis, par les soins de M. Charmes et les mains de M. Bardoux, au musée de la ville natale de Pascal. » (Divers portraits de Pascal et des siens). La statue est en réalité l’œuvre d'Eugène Guillaume.
