Summary
[edit]DescriptionConvair Moonliner (4900858612).jpg |
There were several of these non-functional spaceliners built- all, in TWA colors as shown. One was at Tomorrowland in Disneyland, Southern California. One was at TWA's Kansas City, Missouri, head quarters, and I believe a third was located in some equally public place. Note to self, check Wikipedia... Anyway, a commemorative run of this kit was done for an IPMS convention (Virginia Beach?) and the kit parts with a resin "moon surface" was accompanied with a decal sheet which did NOT read "TWA"...it was some longer word, in the right color, and you cut off the beginning and ending and TWA is what was left... Talk about respecting intellectual property! DSC_0052 |
