Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kansas' second attempt at a constitution was written here. It was written in response to an anti-slavery constitution written in Topeka. The rejection of both the Topeka and Lecompton constitutions by the US Senate was a contributory factor to the start of the US Civil War.
