Português: Santuário de Bom Jesus de Matozinhos: conjunto arquitetônico, paisagístico e escultórico
Patrimônio Mundial declarado pela Unesco em 1985, é um dos maiores tesouros da arte barroca, construído entre 1757 e 1790. As seis Capelas dos Passos (1819/1875), na área externa do santuário, foram restauradas por completo e passaram a exibir as cenas da Paixão de Cristo de acordo com o projeto original de Aleijadinho. As 64 imagens talhadas em cedro foram realçadas pelas pinturas de Mestre Ataíde, descobertas debaixo de seis camadas de tinta. No adro da basílica, os 12 profetas em pedra-sabão foram esculpidos por Aleijadinho e seus auxiliares entre 1800 e 1805. Na parte interna, a igreja abriga relicários também talhados por ele, rica decoração rococó e pintura do teto assinada por Mestre Ataíde. Anexa fica a sala de ex-votos, transformada em museu.
