Description
Español: CONJUNCIÓN EN LÍNEA ANTARES - MARTE - SATURNO.

El 23 y 24.08 los tres astros estuvieron “en línea”: Antares, Marte y Saturno, los dos planetas apuntando al corazón de Scorpius. El 24.08 a las 15:00 hs. (Hora en Greenwich) justo en línea recta, por lo tanto mínimas distancias entre los tres.

DISTANCIAS SEGÚN LA IMAGEN:

El 23.08 a las 21:00 hs. (hora Local Argentina):
Distancia Antares-Marte: 1° 49’ 26” (N)
Distancia Marte-Saturno: 4° 22’ 07” (NNE)

El 24.08 a las 21:00 hs. (hora Local Argentina):
Distancia Antares-Marte: 1° 48’ 02” (NNE)
Distancia Marte-Saturno: 4° 21’ 46” (N)

La máxima aproximación de Marte a Antares ocurrió el 24.08 a las 15:52 hs. (GMT) y a 1° 47' 1" (N).

Alfa Scorpius o Antares, del griego ANT “rival” y ARES “Marte” (Ares dios griego de la guerra, Marte para los romanos), entonces: “la rival de Marte”, nombre dado ya que cuando Marte se encuentra en las cercanías de la estrella tiene el mismo o mayor brillo que la misma (misma o menor magnitud), y por supuesto, de similar color rojizo.
