Conferentie Restoring Justice for Ukraine Op 2 april 2024 organiseert Nederland samen met Oekraïne en de Europese Commissie een internationale conferentie over gerechtigheid voor Oekraïne, in het World Forum in Den Haag. Ministers van Buitenlandse Zaken en Justitie van landen die sinds het uitbreken van de oorlog betrokken zijn bij de strijd voor gerechtigheid voor Oekraïne, zullen dan hun langdurige steun uitspreken. Slachtoffers moeten worden gecompenseerd voor geleden schade. En straffeloosheid voor de begane misdrijven moet worden tegengegaan. De conferentie wordt voorgezeten door de minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Hanke Bruins Slot, de Oekraïense minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Dmytro Kuleba, de minister van Justitie en Veiligheid Dilan Yeşilgöz en de Europese Commissaris van Justitie Didier Reynders. Sprekers zijn onder andere aanklager van het Internationaal Strafhof Karim Khan, president van Eurojust Ladislav Hamran en de secretaris-generaal van de Raad van Europa, Marija Pejčinović Burić. Victims must be compensated for the harm they have suffered, and impunity for the crimes committed must be tackled. The conference will be chaired by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hanke Bruins Slot, the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, the Dutch Minister for Justice and Security, Dilan Yeşilgöz, and the EU Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders. Speakers will include Prosecutor Karim Khan of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran and the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić.
