Description
English: The obverse of a Conder token struck in 1794 in the County of Lincolnshire, city of Spalding. The token depicts Britannia with spear and shield, and in the background ships and a scene of agriculture work. The token is indexed in the Dalton and Hamer reference as Lincolnshire #6. It was issued by T. Jennings, and on the reverse design (not shown) the central shield bears the initials "TJ" denoting this. This particular example of the token is graded MS65BN (mint state brown) by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
