Description
Concepción Remisa de Moret fue esposa de Segismundo Moret y Quintana, famoso literato, político y hacendista de la España decimonónica, cuyo retrato, obra a su vez de Madrazo, también se conserva en las colecciones del Museo del Prado (P04466). La pureza de líneas y la delicadeza de su factura acusan la dependencia de la influencia que Federico de Madrazo tuvo desde su formación de la obra del pintor francés Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres (1780-1867). Este lienzo fue donado el 12 de junio de 1924 por Teresa Moret, hija de la retratada, al Museo de Arte Moderno de donde pasó al Museo del Prado.
