THE CONARD &â JONES CO., WEST GROVE, PA. ROBERT PYLE, PRESIDENT ANTOINE WINTZER, ViCE-President EVERBLOOMING HYBRID TEAS I Yellow and Light Roses PRICES (unless otherwise noted), * 2-yr., Star size, field-grown plants, $1 each, 10 for $9, 25 for $20, delivery not prepaid On this page you will find shades of yellow and light tinted Roses. There is an increasing demand for these varieties for they brighten up a garden and everyone seems to enjoy bright colors. A vase of clear yellow Roses, such as Souvenir de Claudius Fernet, excites widespread admiration always. Six of a kind is not too many to have to enable you to arrange artistic bouquets, and it's a joyous task when you have the necessary Roses. Autumn is a good time to get them planted. _/-n *DUCHESS OF WELLINGTON. This glorious Rose received ^â-/" ',i first place among the yellow varieties in the New England ^^ '^( and Middle Atlantic States when counting the votes from the members of the American Rose Society showing their "favored Dozen Roses." As a garden variety it has proved itself one of the most satisfactory saffron-yellow Hybrid Teas ever introduced. The long-shaped, handsome buds are intense saffron-yellow, stained with rich crimson, which, as the flowers develop, becomes deep, coppery, saffron-yellow. The blooms are fairly full; petals large and of great substance. Free-flowering and intensely fragrant. ^FLORENCE PEMBERTON. A Rose of great merit, of vigor- ous habit of growth, and ver>' free-flowering. Cream-white suffused clear pink; a charming combination. A splendid cut-flower as it lasts well when cut. ^GOLDEN EMBLEM. This Rose makes perfect, long, shapely buds of rich yellow, with flames of crimson at times on the outer petals opening to a fragrant, full, firm flower. *KAISERIN AUGUSTA VICTORLA. Color, soft white, slightly tinged lemon-yellow. Extra-large, exquisitely formed flow- ers borne singly on strong upright stems, making it very popular as a cut-flower. Buds are long and the flowers very full, deep, and sweet-scented. *MRS. AMBROSE RICARDO. A magnificent, large-flowered Rose, strong-growing and very free in bloom. The flowers are quite double, of good form, and exquisitely colored a tender flesh-pink overlaid with honey-yellow, the yellow shade predominating. Very sweetly scented. A Rose we can highly recommend. Order at least ten of this choice variety so that you can have flowers for cutting all season. *MRS. S. K. RINDGE. The flowers are rich chrome- yellow, changing in color as they mature until they become suft'used with salmon-pink. The blooms are exquisite in every stage. ^SOUVENIR DE CLAUDIUS FERNET. (See cut.) A Rose of unusual beauty of form and coloring and in great demand on account of its bright, sunflower-yellow flowers which retain their color better than any other yellow Rose, especially in the bud. It does not always open perfectly. The buds are I ver>' fine, long-shaped, full, and I firm, and they come on strong, upright stems, with brilliant green foliage. Awarded the Gold Medal at the great Baga- telle Garden trials in 1920; also the Gold Medal at the Rose Show in Faris and at Antwerp. Frice, * 2-yr., Star / size, $2 each, delivery not prepaid. *SOUVENIR DE H. A. VERSCHUREN. Color is deep golden yellow, turning light as the flowers age. Makes magnificent, thick, dark green foliage to offset the yellow blooms. Frice, *2-yr.. Star size, Souv. de Claudius Pernet. Sunflower-yellow $2 each, delivery not prepaid.
