I was assigned to Air Task Group 2 (ATG-2) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex (CVA-9) for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Korea from 16 June 1952 to 6 February 1953. During this cruise, VC-11 Det. I made 264 sorties from the Essex and accumulated 679.9 flight hours. |
