Description
English: Compartment syndrome with Fasciotomy procedure

Compartment Syndrome is a painful condition which occurs when the pressure within the muscles grows to dangerous levels. The name derives from the “compartments” of the lower legs, where the muscle pressure increases

The procedure is called a Fasciotomy. A long incision is made in the fascia of both compartments of the lower leg to release the pressure.
