English:

This small moth has is light in color with some darker grey areas. The body appears to be fuzzy and big compared to the size of the wings. The top portion of the body is white on the sides with a thick triangle shaped dark area in the middle. The bottom of it is medium grey in color. The winds are rounded. The upper wings from the body out has varying thickness of darker colored areas that form lines to the edge of the wing. The lower wings are the same as the upper except the coloring is not as dark.

Common. This species is found in the eastern half of U.S.; adults active September-October. Larvae feed on many deciduous trees. Genus: Tolype Species: velleda Acc No. 00032 Cat No. 22695
