English:

The moth is brown. The body of the appears to be fuzzy, the top has a darkend area that forms an inverted "U" while the lower section has fine dark lines going down to the tip. The upper wings have some darkened areas either forming circles or lines that go from top of the wing to bottom, The lower wings have less color variation with only two darker lines from top to bottom of the wing.

Common. This moth is found in the eastern half of U.S.; adults active May-October. The caterpillars will feed on Catalpa. Genus: Ceratomia Species: catalpae Acc No. 00032 Cat No. 22692
