Description |
English: Brown moth with the tail going to a point. The tail is darker than the rest of the body. There is a small dark vertical line just below the head. The lower abdomen of the specimen looks to have 4 horizontal stripes which appear lighter colored before the tail starts. The upper wings are brown with dark brown vertical stripes while the lower wings are coppery colored with just a hint of black on the very edge of the wing. The antenna appear to be fine with the right one being slightly curled inward. Common. This moth is found in the eastern and central U.S.; adults are active May-September.
