Description
English: This a Certificate of Service award given by the U.S. Government to Servicemen in World War I. The caption reads, "Columbia Gives to Her Son the Accolade of the New Chevalry of Humanity" At the bottom is the name of the soldier, his rank and unit. It concludes with the notation, "Served with Honor in the World War and was Wounded in Action", and President Woodrow Wilson's printed signature.
