| Description |
English: Cogill Closes, Helm, Wensleydale The Cogill Closes are some small areas of good pasture set around some old and disused field barns. Originally the barns would have been used for overwintering cattle inside the protection of the barn. Nowadays they are used only at lambing time.
Surrounding the Closes is high fell, rough and marshy and with many swallow holes. |
