English: General Pornpipat Benyasri, the Chief of Defense Forces for the Royal Thai Armed Forces, and Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky, the I Corps commanding general, greet Lt. Col. Scott Siegfried, commander of 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, during the opening ceremony of Exercise Cobra Gold 19 at Camp Akathotsarot, Thailand, Feb. 12, 2019. Cobra Gold 19, now in its 38th iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together a robust multinational force to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific.
