Coba Maya site, 1981

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Coba Maya site in Quintana Roo, Mexico, 1981. Lake Coba from pyramid. Note that there was not yet a town of Coba at the time. Road to entrance of archeological park connects to highway at right (only paved road there at the time), and road beside lake goes to Villas Arqueologicas Hotel, which had an electric generator, the only electric power and running water in the area. Otherwise there was only the park entrance and a small shop stand selling air-temperature bottled beverages.
