| Description |
English: Site of Coaley station, 1986, View NE, towards Gloucester, Cheltenham and Birmingham: ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol main line, junction of the branch to Dursley until it closed on 1/11/66 (passengers 10/9/62). Coaley station closed to passengers from 4/1/65, goods 4/10/65 and in 1986 there is no sign of the station or of the branch, which had turned off to the right. However, a new station, 'Cam for Dursley' was built later slightly to the east, being opened on 14/5/94. The hill in the right background is Coaley Peak (807 ft.). |
