Description

Grassland near Patchendon Farm

I pitched up 3 traps along a patch of grassland bordered by woodland to the West, and farmland to the East. The day had been fairly warm at 18 degrees and cloud had bubbled up towards the evening and luckily we hung onto a bit of it, but it did eventually disappear and we were left with clear skies and a bright moon. Traps were run from 10pm until 12am and it was fairly busy given the slight breeze and clear skies.

Highlights were around 15 Blotched Emeralds, lots of different species of Cnephasia (to be dissected) and only my second ever Notocelia roborana.
