Description
English: This sculpture has been installed at the historic Kapunda mine site to illustrate how horses were used to help haul mined ore to the surface. Behind the sculpture is a wooden whim, or horse capstan, which the horse would turn in order to pull attached ropes and pulleys in the mine shaft.
