Summary
[edit]DescriptionClock Tower, General Offices at Ebbw Vale - geograph.org.uk - 755989.jpg |
English: Clock Tower, General Offices at Ebbw Vale The clock tower is a noted local landmark in this part of Ebbw Vale and is currently undergoing restoration as the General Offices of the Ebbw Vale Iron and Steel Company are turned into a Visitor Centre and genealogy centre. The main clock was reputed to be linked to all the internal clocks to make sure everyone arrived and left at the same time! The Offices are grade II listed by Cadw as being a fine and rare survival of an Edwardian Office complex built to a high standard of finish reflecting the prosperity of iron and steel production at the time. |
