| Description |
English: Some more shots from inside the Traction Maintenance Depot at Toton, near Nottingham, during a 6-hour access all areas tour as a guest of DB Cargo.
Toton is the main centre for repair and service of UK Class 60 and 66 Type 5 Co-Co diesel-electric heavy freight locomotives as well as UK Class 67 Bo-Bo express passenger locos. In addition to DB cargo machines, Toton also carries out contract work for other operators including GBRF and Colas Rail Freight. Several of the Class 66 locos in the shops have worked for Euro Cargo Rail and are being re-converted for use in the UK following repatriation from France. This picture group covers everything taken within the depot. Later posts will look at the yard and stored locomotives on this huge site. |
