Description

Cladonia bacillaris (Genth) Schaerer

Photograph of a herbarium specimen taken through a dissecting microscope, x20. (Spot test reactions on podetia: PD-, K-)

These specimens were growing on a rotten log near Locust Run on the western side of the Power Line clearing at the Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area, Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA (N 39o24.043',   W 76o50.719',   Elevation 503 feet).

Collected and determined by E.C. Uebel (No. U-629, 9 Jul 2006).
